‘Street’ is a rather ambiguous term and does not refer specifically to one style of dance.
It covers a wide range of styles that are often improvised and used in dance battles-
think Step Up!
Jeselyn is a new teacher to Essex Blades Dance Club and we are extremely excited to freshen
up the class. She really wants to see beginners and more experienced dancers in her class,
as this will benefit everyone. She is also encouraging to all levels as we can show a range of
moves in one dance. Street dance at Essex Blades Dance Club is choreographed but all members are
encouraged to perform their own pieces in our annual show, so if improvisation is your thing or
you enjoy choreographing your own pieces, make sure you speak to our President or Vice President
about doing this - you can do this for any style!!
Street is one of the most popular styles at Essex Blades Dance Club and we really
like to see new members taking part. It looks fantastic to see loads of people doing the
exact same moves at the exact same time! It is also great to see so many guys and girls
doing partner work and dance moves together!! So come along on Wednesday 8th October at 3pm
to see what this class is all about!
