About Us
Essex Blades Dance Club won ‘Club of the year’ at the Annual Sports Federation awards in 2007,
and we plan to win it again this year!
We hope to increase awareness of Essex Blades Dance Club through competitions, performances, workshops, fundraisers and social events. We have added some new dance styles to the classes on offer and are hoping to organise a trip to London to see a dance show in the first term.
Essex Blades Dance Club offers its members several opportunities to perform throughout the year, both in the annual show and at smaller events. There is also a chance to compete with other universities in a range of styles and we are hoping to get a tour abroad organised for this Easter! Although dance is the main focus of Essex Blades Dance Club, we also organise opportunities for members to become involved in volunteering and fundraising and of course we have an active social side to the club so there’s always something exciting going on to get involved in!
Essex Blades Dance Club has classes in a variety of styles which are suitable for all abilities. So whether you’ve danced since before you could walk, or never been to a single class make sure you come along to our FREE ‘come and try’ sessions as there’s bound to be something for you!
